United Way
Can I donate through the United Way?

YES!
Many ask us if they can designate their payroll deduction or other United Way pledge to Wisdom In Living Life Ministry
If you are like many people who regularly designate a portion of their salary or other income to United Way, you appreciate having a say in how your money is used. After all, giving is definitely more satisfying when you feel a connection with the beneficiary.
Accordingly, many of our ministry supporters have arranged through their workplace United Way coordinators to designate their United Way pledge to Wisdom In Living Life Ministry. All donations made in this manner continue to be fully tax deductible.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Request a Donor Choice form from your workplace United Way coordinator;(NOTE: employers and coordinators are required by law to provide this form upon request, so don’t be dissuaded or put off by anyone)
- Write in WISDOM IN LIVING LIFE MINISTRY, PO Box 150, Travelers Rest, SC, 29690, in the appropriate section of the form;
- Fill in your pledge amount; and,
- Attach the completed Donor Choice form to your pledge form and return to your coordinator.
Here’s another way you can help: print this web page and give copies to your family, friends and coworkers. This can be done digitally as well by emailing the above URL (hyperlink or Internet address). Simply copy it (move your mouse pointer over the address, right click, select copy) and paste it into the body of an open email text screen (right click, paste). Whether you do this with printouts or email, think about including your reasons for donating to the ministry and suggest why they should do so as well. Please help us to make a real impact on substance abuse in the Upstate of South Carolina. Remember, keeping your donations local will better benefit your community!
NOTE: while Wisdom In Living Life Ministry is not a United Way agency, it is classified as a 501(c)(3), public charity by the IRS. All donations, whether directly or made through the United Way, are fully tax deductible.
